Transsexuality as a category is the way many conservative societies respond to the fact of homosexuality

Children who don't fit stereotypical gender profiles: female "tomboys" and effeminate boys, are now steered towards transitioning. It's the same logic, but what was once conservative is now reactionary.

All of this is also an object lesson in the failures of rationalism: logic without context.

Empiricism is a practice not a theory. The history of philosophy trumps philosophy, as the history of religion trumps religion.
